The 24 Hour Basketball Marathon is an annual fund-raising tradition at Forest Hill College. Last year, the students of Forest Hill College raised over $9,000, which was donated to four different charities, as well as to the College community.
This year, we are raising funds to support the following charities:
College students spend hours planning the event and raising funds in the wider community. The Marathon aims to promote leadership and engagement, as well as fostering new friendships between all students and staff at the College.
When is it?
The 2010 Basketball Marathon will run from 9:00am on Tuesday the 23rd of March until the grand finale at 9:00am on Wednesday the 24th of March.
Why the Marathon?
The Basketball Marathon was established in memory of Geoff Davies, a former teacher of the College who battled leukemia. Over the past twenty years, College students have raised over $58,000 for charities and continue to embrace this tradition of giving to the community.
